Consultation Services

There are many quotes and memorable phrases in regard to planning: "plan your work and work your plan", "proper planning prevents poor performance", "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail", and one of my favorites from the book of Proverbs, "commit whatever you do to the Lord and your plans will succeed".

But how do you make plans to be a producer?  I would start with the basic questions of who, what, when, where, why, and how.  Identify your goals and then create an action plan to achieve them.  I would suggest using S.M.A.R.T. goals.  It stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time based.  You can Google s.m.a.r.t. goals for more info.

The music industry is so overwhelming and always changing so it can be tough to know where to start.  I would suggest finding an industry mentor or consultant.  I offer new Artist and producer consultations at ipomusic.com.  The first session is free and I just try to help you identify your goals and we create a practical action plan together.

To summarize, I would remind and encourage you to identify your goals and create an action plan before you do anything else.

If you have any questions feel free to hit me up.
